The AVANTONE BV-12 is an amazing sounding microphone; the design, character and performance are comparable to some of the best vintage tube microphones of the 50's and 60's.
The robust body of the BV-12 and the capsule assembly are made of brass. The transformer coupled tube circuitry has its origins in the famous European vintage designs. Produced using only the best materials, it is characterized by elegance, strength and reliability.

The included Shockmount Custom allows precise positioning of the microphone and prevents unwanted vibrations from re-entering the microphone itself.
The BV-12 is a 9-pole tube microphone, with dual 34mm Mylar capsules coated with a thin layer of gold. It features -10dB Pad and 80 Hz High Pass Filter switches. Its tube is a '' hand selected '' Russian 6072A.
