But in true modular fashion, it also has patch points; so when you’re in the mood to roll up your sleeves and throw some patches, you can dive into creative sound design. Inserting a patch cord (ten are included) into the jack associated with any hardwired control interrupts that internal connection, letting you create an entirely new signal path to suit your needs. As a programming aid, the MS-20 FS’s panel graphics clearly display the available signal routings, while providing insight into the instrument’s architecture.
External signal processor unlocks a world of creative options
For sound design in the studio, avail yourself of the ’20s External Signal Processor (ESP) to treat external signals. Plug your guitar or microphone directly into the Korg MS-20 FS and start tweaking. You won’t believe the fun and funky sounds you can come up with.
