SEAMLESS REDUNDANCY OPERATION
When the card switches to take the signal from another input - and the redundant sources can be not one, but two - the audio data stream is not interrupted. In SRO mode the card functions as a single MADI input interface capable of recording up to 64 channels like the current HDSP and MADI. As soon as the signal on the currently selected input fails, the audio data from one of the other two inputs is used. It is not necessary to re-synchronize with a different clock nor does the card have to re-lock to the existing clock. In this way the interruption of the external signal results in the loss of only a few samples
