Artisan B5 Plus AS RM OP Burgundy Red - Burgundy Red 5-string electric bass

This new addition to the Artisan B5 Plus line features an open pore body with three colors ideal for this type of finish, and a Toasted Maple fingerboard for a slightly brighter and more punchy sound.
The open pore body finish and roasted maple neck provide a natural feel to the touch and enhance the tone with a more organic and open sound.
A livelier and more resonant wood than poplar, swamp ash features a hollowed mids sound with a wider low end and clear highs for a more balanced sound. The open pore finish which further improves the resonance and the lighter weight of the wood are other positive aspects of the ash.
