Ernie Ball RPS wound strings feature specific gauges and core-to-winding ratios that create rich, balanced harmonics and the unmistakable Slinky feel. The flatwound strings in RPS sets are more durable and hold pitch better than conventional flatwound strings. A proprietary brass wire wrap is tightly wound around the twisted end of the flatwound strings. Breakage and slippage are minimized at the bridge end, the area most susceptible to these issues.
